How to Use a SkyCaddie SGX

    • 1). Charge the SGX before taking it out to the course, by pluggin it into a power outlet. Download CaddieSync from the SkyGolf website. Launch the program by clicking on the file and follow the prompts.

    • 2). Connect the SGX to the computer with the included cable and run CaddieSync by double-clicking on the desktop icon. The Micro USB port is located under the black rubber cover on the SGX. Register the SGX through the CaddieSync software. The device must be registered before you can use it.

    • 3). Search for a course by clicking on "Courses" in CaddieSync's top navigation bar. Click on "Search" and enter the location of the course you want to find. Select the course and download it to SkyCaddie by adding it to your favorites in the software with the "+" button and clicking on "Download to My SkyCaddie."

    • 4). Operate some of the SkyCaddie basic functions like measuring a shot distance. Press the "Mark Ball" button before you take a shot, then select "Mark" by pressing the thumb pad. Take the shot, walk to the ball's location and press the "Mark Ball" button again. The distance the golf ball traveled is displayed.

    • 5). Look for hazards, carries and layups by selecting "View" with the left-hand key. A list of distances to hazards will be displayed. Toggle the "View" button to see other screens, such as those that display the exact shape of the green, for example.
