How to Remove a Mini Case With a Removal Tool
- 1). Insert the tip of your removal tool underneath the plastic panel at the top of the iPod Mini and gently pry up to pop it off. Two Phillips screws will now be exposed in the Mini.
- 2). Insert the tip of your removal tool underneath the plastic panel on the bottom of the Mini and pop it off to expose a silver guard.
- 3). Pull the prongs on the guard together and pull the guard out of the Mini.
- 4). Unplug the orange ribbon cable from its port on the bottom of the Mini.
- 5). Use your screwdriver to remove the screws on the top of the Mini.
- 6). Use your index finger to push the internal components out of the case through the bottom. The case is now removed from the components.
