This was largely due to the fact that options were very limited and what they did have to offer were not very appealing, attractive or flattering to wear.

It really is a positive sign to see this emergence in the fashion world, and it has definitely been a long time coming.

When walking into a store or shopping online, it would not be unusual if you had expected to see only dark colours and limited choices.
However, research and personal experience has uncovered a multitude of colour options and an extremely wide range of 'normal' clothing such as jeans, singlet tops, jackets, belts, skirts, T-shirts, camisoles, dresses, formal wear, evening gowns and the list goes on and on.

It has now become exciting to spend money and feel brilliant about it.
When you look brilliant, that is exactly how you will feel! Larger women, and I am one of them, have often not gone shopping at all just to avoid the range of clothing shops.
I always knew not to bother going in 'just to see' because I would walk out disappointed.
When I finally decided to go shopping, I actually came across a store I had never even heard of before but apparently it had been there for a while.
It catered for the larger woman, the styles were flattering and I would even have considered them 'trendy'.
I spent over a thousand dollars in that one day because I was so excited that I could finally buy clothes after all the years of wearing oversize T-shirts and jumpers.
Thank goodness that times have changed and new fashions have been able to open up many doors that have simply been closed in the past.
