How to Clean a Laundry Tub
- 1). Place a sink stopper in your laundry tub and fill the sink with 1 gallon of warm water. Put on latex gloves.
- 2). Pour 1/2 cup of a liquid general-purpose cleaner in the tub. Scrub the tub's walls and bottom basin with a soft sponge or cloth. If the laundry tub is heavily soiled, let the cleaner stand in the sink for five minutes then scrub the sink to remove the grime buildup.
- 3). Remove the stopper from the tub, drain the dirty water and turn on the tub's faucet. Rinse the sponge or cloth under the running water then wipe down the tub's walls and bottom basin with the sponge or cloth to remove any remaining cleaner residue.
- 4). Let the laundry tub air dry or dry the sink with a clean, soft cloth or rag.
- 1). Use a funnel to fill a 16 oz. spray bottle with 2 cups of white vinegar.
- 2). Spray the laundry tub's walls and bottom basin with the vinegar. Let the vinegar stand for five minutes then scrub the sink to remove any hard-water stains and grime buildup.
- 3). Let the laundry tub air dry or dry it with a clean, soft cloth or rag. You do not have to rinse the vinegar solution from the sink since it doesn't leave any residue.
