How to Get Hair Dye Off of Hands
- 1). Mix one tbsp. of dishwashing liquid in a small bowl of warm water. Dishwashing hand soap is a degreaser that breaks up stains, including hair dye stains.
- 2). Dip the clean cloth into the mixture until the cloth is saturated, and wring out the excess water.
- 3). Rub the stain with the damp cloth and dip the cloth into the mixture to absorb more of the mixture. Continue rubbing the stain until the stain fades.
- 4). Rinse the stain with warm water and apply a drop of toothpaste directly on the stain. Brush the toothpaste into the skin in a circular motion using a toothbrush. Follow by rinsing the toothpaste off your skin. Re-apply the toothpaste, and continue brushing until the stain fades.
- 5). Rinse your hands with warm water and dishwashing hand soap, and brush the stain with the toothbrush against your skin until the stain disappears. Rinse your skin to remove any toothpaste residue.
- 1). Pour the lemon juice in a small mixing bowl, and dip the toothbrush into the mixture until the bristles are saturated. Lemon juice is a natural skin bleacher and acts as an exfoliator to break up the dye stain when used in combination with a toothbrush.
- 2). Brush the stain with the toothbrush in a circular motion, and dip the toothbrush into the mixture to apply more lemon juice onto the stain.
- 3). Sprinkle 1 tsp. of baking soda onto the stain, and continue brushing in a circular motion until the stain fades. Rinse your hand periodically with dishwashing hand soap and warm, running water while scrubbing the stain with the toothbrush.
