How to Keep Dog Fur Off a Pea Coat
- 1). Brush your dog frequently to control hair at the source. In addition, a deshedding tool removes a large amount of loose hair from a dog's undercoat, making fur even less likely to get on your coat.
- 2). Vacuum your home frequently to catch the dog hair that escapes brushing.
- 3). Hang your pea coat up when you are not wearing it. Store it in a closed closet, if possible, to further protect it.
- 4). Use a lint roller to pick up dog hair stuck to the coat. Put the coat on a hanger and run the sticky roller all over the jacket. Do not forget to clean under the double-breasted portion of the pea coat.
- 5). Rub a dryer sheet over the coat to decrease static and help keep hair from sticking to the wool.
- 6). Dry clean the pea coat once a year.
