    • 1). Turn the adjustment screw next to the presser foot clockwise to increase the presser foot pressure if the fabric does not feed into the machine.

    • 2). Replace the needle if it breaks or bends. Turn the machine off and turn the needle knob until the needle is at its highest point. Loosen the nut on the needle housing with a wrench and remove the needle. Replace the needle and tighten the nut.

    • 3). Adjust the thread tension by turning the tension dial for the breaking thread. If your thread is breaking, turn the dials down to lower the tension. The tension dials are located at the top of the machine in front of each of the thread spools.

    • 4). Turn the thread tension up if your machine is skipping stitches.

    • 5). Turn the thread tension down if your fabric is puckering.
