Sport Coupe

• The Camaro Sport Coupe is the base model 1985 Camaro, the model against which all other models are compared. The car was available with either a manual five-speed transmission or an automatic four-speed transmission. The engine was either a a 2.2 inline four-valve, 2.4-liter V-6 or a 5.0-liter V-8. These cars had horsepower ratings of 88, 135 and 155, respectively. The respective torque ratings of each engine were 132, 165 and 245 pound-feet.
  
  

Z28

• The Z28 was a version of the 1985 Camaro that only came with a 5.0-liter V-8 engine. However, there were still two engine types, the LG4 and the LB9. The former offered 155 horsepower with 245 pound-feet of torque. The latter boasted a horsepower rating of 215 with 275 feet-pound of torque. The LG4 was available in both a manual five-speed transmission and an automatic four-speed, while the LB9 engine only came with an automatic.
  
  

IROC-Z

• The IROC-Z was a new model of the Camaro introduced for the 1985 model year. It featured one of three 5.0-liter engines: the LG4, the L69 and the LB9. The engines have respective horsepower ratings of 155, 190 and 215. The respective torque ratings for the cars are 245, 240 and 275. The LG4 engine was available with a manual five-speed transmission or an automatic four-speed. The L69 came only with a manual five-speed, while the LB9 came only with an automatic four-speed.
