How to Make an Underwater PVC Fish Structure
- 1). Cut three of the 10-foot lengths of PVC pipe into 1-foot lengths using a hacksaw. These pieces will form the frame of the structure.
- 2). Make a 3-by-3-foot grid using the 1-foot pipe lengths. The 4-way elbow fittings form the corners of the grid. The 5-way crosses form the interior connections and the four corners. The 4-way tees form the outside of the grid. Make sure the grid is straight and all the pieces fit correctly.
- 3). Take the PVC pipe grid, the PVC pipe pieces, the cinder blocks and underwater pipe cement to the location where you will sink the fish attractor.
- 4). Disassemble and reassemble the grid. This time apply PVC pipe cement to each piece as you put the grid back together. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for mixing and applying the cement.
- 5). Place the cinder blocks on top of the grid so the holes in the blocks are over the holes in the couplings.
- 6). Apply more cement to one end of the 10-foot lengths of PVC pipe and insert the ends into the holes in the grid.
- 7). Lift the cinder blocks and PVC grid with the pipe lengths attached. Drop the grid and cinder blocks overboard.
