How to Make a Highliter Pipe
- 1). Grasp the end cap (the plastic piece on the end opposite the writing end) of the highlighter firmly with the pliers. Pull the pliers away with one hand while pulling the the highlighter in the opposite direction. The cap should easily come off.
- 2). Grasp the plastic ink cartridge inside the pen with the pliers and pull it out.
- 3). Take off the protective cap, grasp the felt writing tip with the pliers and pull it out. The pen should appear now as a hollow tube with one wide end and one narrow end.
- 4). Push the socket into the wide end of the pen, small end of the socket first. You may need to push or pound the highlighter onto the table to get the socket pushed all the way in.
- 5). Push the wire mesh pipe filter into the the socket with your finger. If you cannot get it down far enough, use the tips of the pliers to push it in so that it evenly covers the hole at the bottom of the socket.
- 6). Pinch some of your favorite tobacco out of the tobacco pouch and place it into the socket for smoking.
