• People who are over 60 likely have time to travel. Give your over-60 man a trip to a destination he's always talked about. This can be a day trip, a weekend getaway or a multi-day vacation. Plan visits to attractions and restaurants in the destination that will appeal to him. • Give the over-60 woman something she's never seen before: a behind-the-scenes tour of her favorite public place. Tailor it to her interests. If she has a favorite restaurant, take her to dinner there and arrange a tour of the kitchen afterward so she can talk recipes with the chef. If she loves the arts, set up a backstage tour of the ballet, the opera house or the local performing arts hall. If he's the chef in your house, give him gourmet cooking lessons at a local cooking school or upscale restaurant. If he's an intellectual, enroll him in a history or government class at the local university. Give him dancing lessons if he likes to trip the light fantastic. • By age 60, people are ready for a break from household chores. Give your over-60 woman a week off from a duty she's tired of. If she needs help with housework, hire a cleaning team. If she's over cooking dinner every night, hire a chef to shop for groceries, cook and freeze meals for a week. Call an upscale restaurant to recommend a chef who handles private clients.
