He needs the money to pay for his daughter's wedding, and he'll strain his relationship with her if he can't live up to his promise to do so. So Willis and Morgan set out to get the card back, and on the way they run into several hilarious and ridiculous situations. Date Night is the only film that Tina Fey has starred in without writing, but her absence from the writing doesn't make the film any less funny than what America has grown to expect from Fey. In the film, she stars alongside Steve Carell as a husband and wife with kids. As the couple is constantly surrounded by their children and their lives are filled with the stresses related to being working parents, they regularly take dates together to help maintain their relationship. One night, Fey and Carell decide to go on a fancier date than usual, so they head into New York City to go to one of the best restaurants in town. After taking the reservation of another couple that never showed up, the two get mistaken for a couple of petty criminals that are wanted by a more powerful and dangerous criminal. The comedy unfolds as Fey and Carell struggle to escape and survive while being chased by thugs who think the couple has a valuable flash drive in their possession. Eventually the couple decides to be proactive about their situation to figure out why they are being chased and how they can resolve the situation.
