Cady was home schooled.
Her parents are research zoologists in Africa.
Her family just moved back to the Unites States, which means that Cady is attending high school for the first time.
Damion and Janice help her on where to sit in her first class so that she didn't get spit on or beat up.
However, her first day was very lonely.
She ate her lunch in the bathroom.
The next day, her new friends help her to her next class but actually help her skip class.
While skipping, they see the plastics, a group of girls.
Their names are Gretchen, Karen, and Regina who is the leader of the plastics.
That day as she passes the plastics table, they invite her to be a part of them.
She finds out that they have lots of rules like only being allowed to wear a ponytail once a week, wearing jeans only on Fridays, and Wednesday is pink day.
Her friends, Damion and Janice tell her to go along with it and report back to them to make fun of them.
The plastics take her to Regina's house.
Her mother wants to be a cool mom and has allowed Regina to trade bedrooms with her.
Her mom brings drinks and dances around the house.
They also have a burn book where they glue pictures and write things about people.
A few weeks later a boy named Jason that she has a crush on asks her to a costume party.
She goes as an ex-wife.
Regina then gets to Jason and says that she is a stalker and then kisses him.
This breaks Cady's heart.
She runs to Damion and Janice for a game plan.
They decide to get back at her.
They cut some of her shirts and give her some nutrition bars that help people gain weight.
They also replace her face cream with foot cream.
