The Bottom Line

Josh's album is filled with great pop-country songs such as those from Rascal Flatts or Lonestar. If you like either of those groups, you'll enjoy the songs Josh has included on this debut album. They're highly singable and should do well on country radio.

Guide Review - Josh Gracin - Josh Gracin

From the minute I first heard "I Wanna Live," I knew I had to review this CD. I love the pop-country feel of Josh's songs, and his vocal quality is even better than when he was on last year's American Idol program.

"Wheels" really rolls on and on, with a catchy chorus you'll be singing along with after one listen.

If you remember Marcel's debut album from last year, you may recognize "Nothin' to Lose" which is quickly sung. Lots of fun to listen to.

In "Brass Bed," Josh sings "Why don't you stay with me... share all your secrets tonight?" Another great pick.

On of my favorite picks off the album is "No One To Blame." In this song Josh sings about a relationship that has ended, and she's moved on with her life.

The album ends with a song that will bring a tear to your eye. "The Other Little Soldier" talks of a little boy that is the son of a soldier, and his dad is shipped out and ends up dying at war. The little boy doesn't understand what his dad is fighting for, but wants to be a soldier himself one day.

As his dad is killed in the war, and his mom is receiving the flag, the boy gives his dad "one last salute."

This is definitely a CD for those that like their country more on the pop side. There are quite a few songs that I'm sure will do well on country radio. It is gonna be seeing a lot of action in my CD player. That's for sure.
