    Door Hanger

    • Cut a strip of rectangular foam to make a door hanger. On one end, cut a hole just large enough to fit over a doorknob. Have your child decorate a door hanger for her bedroom to express her personality or to hang around the house for holidays. Use sticky back die-cut foam shapes to decorate door hangers or cut your own shapes out of foam using paper punches.

    Picture Magnet

    • Convert those miniature school pictures into gifts for all his loved ones. Cut a piece of foam so it is larger than the photo. Glue the photo to the front and a magnet to the back of the foam. Kids can further decorate around the picture with stickers, markers or by gluing on beads.

    Recipe Card Holder

    • Sewing is an excellent activity to develop motor skills. Have your child "sew" together two pieces of foam to create a recipe card holder, no needle or thread required. Line up two pieces of foam and punch holes around three of the edges. Have the child thread ribbon or twine through the holes to sew together the two pieces. Use markers, rubber stamps or poster paints to further decorate the recipe card holder.
