How to Send Boxed Roses
- 1). Obtain a dozen of roses from a floral shop, farmer's flower market or your own garden if you grow them. Choose ones where their buds have not bloomed yet.
- 2). Wrap the stems in three sheets of damp newspaper, leaving the rose buds unwrapped.
- 3). Put the newspaper-wrapped stems into a grocery plastic vegetable bag, tying the bag lightly around the stems.
- 4). Line a shipping box that is long enough to contain the roses with insulated liners to keep them cool during transit.
- 5). Set the roses in the box. Add in tissue paper in any extra spaces to prevent movement. Place a greeting card inside of the box as well.
- 6). Tape the box with packaging tape. Address the shipping box with your loved one's name and address. Mail it via next day delivery or overnight to ensure fast delivery.
