Some of us when we were young and skinny have been picked on in school and we wanted to gain weight so at least we could stand up for ourselves.
Some kids seem to gain weight easily which they can turn into muscle later and yet some kids just cannot get enough weight on despite the diet of increased calories and the like.
And some of us that had this problem as kids of trying to put on weight and keeping it on haunt us later into adulthood.
Those of us who have a hard time gaining weight have a body type that is according to physiologists as being ectomorphic or ectomorphs.
The body has a high metabolism for this type of body physique and structure and fat and calories are burned almost instantly.
The key then if we are to gain weight is to lower the metabolic rate and increase your food intake in terms of caloric intake.
Another way is to increase your food intake and go to the gym and put on weight not as fat but as muscle which will actually be more attractive in the long run.
Having a hard time in putting on weight should not discourage anyone.
In fact it is harder to lose weight than gain it.
In gaining weight there are more open options of doing this.
Vitamins and supplements are readily available in nutrition stores and gymnasiums.
Likewise try to lessen your activities if you are not into working out so as to slow down your metabolism.
Increase your starch and sugar intakes so that the body can store this as fat that will put some plump into your frame.
