Being able to follow instructions accurately is a specific key trait that employers generally look for in their employees. Being able to absorb information, whether it be verbally or on paper, means that a person is able to retain facts, analyze and evaluate them, and properly perform the instructions given in an efficient manner. If you aren't able to do these things adequately, it is important to recognize this in yourself and take the initiative to correct it, since following instructions, rules or guidelines is a part of everyday life.

A reliable person or employee is one who can always be counted on regardless of the situation. Being reliable is a very valuable key trait to have, especially when looking to be hired for a specific job. If a person cannot be counted on, not only does her employer lose faith in her, but also others will begin to lose faith in the words that she says. Being a reliable person requires making an ethical decision to do the right thing and keep your word when it involves being committed to something.
