  Whether you are shopping for a birthday, holiday or any other occasion, girls of all ages love to receive gifts. If you know the child's personality or interests, shopping for her will be much easier. Even if you do not know the little girl well, there are some gifts that appeal to all ages and stages, making it easier to find something that she will love.
  
  

Arts and Crafts

• Girls of all ages love to make crafts. Depending on the age of the girl you are buying for, you can find something that she will enjoy creating. For a younger girl, give her a box or art kit full of crayons, colored pencils, paint, paper, chalk, scissors and chalk. She will love being able to create her own masterpiece with her new art supplies. If you are buying for an older girl, put together a scrap booking kit with fancy pens, scissors, glitter glue and lots of embellishments. Jewelry and Make Up

• Buying a gift of jewelry or make up will be a big hit with the girl who receives this. Little girls love putting on pretend make up and clip-on jewelry while playing "dress up" and will be so excited to receive accessories to play with. If you are shopping for an older girl, buy real make up or jewelry for her to use--talk with her parents first, however, to be sure that she is allowed to wear these things. If it is OK with them, buy a little purse or make up bag and put some lip gloss, nail polish, a mirror and a very light shade of blush inside. You may also want to include a necklace, bracelet or earrings as well.
