Cleaning clothes that are stained can be a real hassle and more so, when there is no clue on how to go about handling different types of stains.
As a result, most people choose to throw them away or alternatively, choose not to wear them anymore.
This however, should not be the case.
There are simple tips, which if followed, will ease getting rid of stains, and keep bright clothes looking brighter than ever.
When cleaning clothes that have ink stains, the best way to remove them is to use hair spray.
The spray is applied directly on the stained area and should be allowed to sink in first before the cloth is put into the washing machine.
By the time the cleaning process is over, the stain will have clear out.
In the event that the stained cloth is made of leather, then generous amount of jelly petroleum should be applied on the stain and allowed to sit in for two or three days then wipe it off.
Usually, bright white clothes tend to change color over time and are stained much more easily.
Their natural brightness however can be restored by leaving them in lukewarm water that has been added with oxygen bleach for twenty-four hours.
Afterward, when they have been washed, rinse them again using vinegar.
For more effectiveness, ensure that one tablespoon of vinegar is added to one quart of water.
Let them stay in this state overnight and once again, wash them in hot water that has been added with chlorine.
After this cleaning process, if it is possible, make sure that the clothes are left out in the sun to dry.
This procedure, will 100 percent restore the original brightness.
Throughout the day, most people tend to sweat and end up using deodorant a little more often than is necessary.
As such, clothes gather stains caused by the perspiration and the deodorants.
With time, it becomes hard to get rid of these stains that in most cases will be located at the underarms.
To rectify this, the clothes should be soaked in warm water containing an enzyme pre-soak detergent or alternatively, the stained area should be rubbed with white vinegar, which works pretty well with such stains.
Cleaning clothes that have rust stains need not be a daunting task anymore because they easily come off when lemon, table salt or cream on tarter is applied on the stained area.
If lemon is used the process is easy.
The lemon juice should be squeezed on the stained area and left out in the sun to dry.
Once dry, check to ensure that the stain has already lifted and if not, repeat the process until sure that it has lifted, then wash the garment.
On the other hand, salt and cream of tartar should be used together by mixing the two in equal parts and applying them on the stained area.
As with lemon, leave it to dry and once the stain has lifted, the clothes should be laundered.
