    • 1). Exercise. Moderate physical exercise releases endorphins, your body's feel-good chemicals, into your system, improving your mood and giving you a more relaxed overall feeling. Plus, getting into a regular exercise routine not only helps you control stress to become pregnant, but it can also help ease pregnancy aches and pains if you keep it up after you conceive.

Your body needs the right nutritional elements to function at its best, and depriving yourself of essential vitamins and minerals will reduce your ability to control stress to become pregnant. Make sure that you're adding a healthy mix of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, lean meats, and dairy products to ensure that your body is getting everything it needs and can effectively control stress.

If you're having trouble sleeping, try different tactics until you get results. Use a sound machine to drown outside noise, wear a sleep mask to black out any lights, or try a warm, relaxing bath before bed to get your body primed for sleep.     • 4). Breathe deeply. When you feel your heart beginning to race, stop and take a few long, deep breaths. Breathe in through your nose until your lungs are full of air, and then slowly release the breath through your mouth. Keep going until you feel calm and controlled.

    • 5). Get your feelings out. Try keeping a journal or talking to a trusted friend when you feel yourself getting stressed out. Sometimes just getting your feelings out in the open can help you feel better and dramatically increase your ability to control stress.
