How to Create a List for Cleaning
- 1). Go through each room of your home and determine what needs to be cleaned. Make a note of furniture, carpeting, things that need to be put away, and any tiles or hard surfaces like sinks and bathtubs that need to be cleaned.
- 2). Make a list of cleaning supplies and purchase them if needed. Supplies include cleaning rags, wood surface cleaner, tile and bathroom cleaner, vacuum cleaner, hard floor cleaner, carpet cleaning powder for use with vacuum, dusters (such as feather or cloth)
- 3). Make a list of each room and what needs to be cleaned in each room. Make a note of rooms that need to have items put away, such as clothes and toys. Make a note of rooms that require vacuuming.
- 4). Start at one end of the house or move from the highest floor downwards, note this on the list. Pick up toys, clothes, and other items to put away first. Remove any fragile items before dusting and complete dusting before vacuuming. Wipe down any hard surfaces with a rag and cleaner before putting fragile items and table top items back in place.
