BX8a Review: Pros and Cons

Several M-Audio BX8a studio monitor reviews mentions the BX8a lack lacks longevity in the amplifier and other electrical components.
I couldn't help but to be turned off by the BX8a reviews, and I don't blame you if you do too.
And my fellow classmate in my sound engineering class(who's a M-Audio freak), demonstrated his BX8a during his DJ gig.
I was blown away, literally: New waveguides and enhanced driver integration on the BX8a, BX8 Delux, delivered precise and rich sound quality on both hi and lows, blowing me, and the rest of the competition away on its market.
The 8-inch curved Kevlar (a synthetic fiber that has high tensile strength and temperature resistance) low-frequency drivers, high-temperature voice coils, and damped rubber on the BX8a compensate for its baby like characteristics - sensitive, but pure loudness.
By the way, it's really crucial for everyone to turn off ALL studio monitors (including BX8a) when their not in use.
This way, you can prevent the amps from over-heating.
Another cool feature of the BX8a Studio Monitors is that it is Bi-Amplified.
This enables the reference monitors to work with the provided drivers and crossovers, in a tuned system.
Bi-amplification refines sound quality by isolating power amps to highs and lows.
This enables the BX8a to deliver the most efficient high and low-frequency sounds desired by the drivers.
Other BX8a Features includes: - two-way studio reference monitors - deluxe edition delivers extended high-frequency response and refined sound - 130 watts of continuous bi-amplified power - 8" low-frequency drivers with: curved Kevlar cones, high-temperature voice coils - damped rubber surround for protection - 1-ΒΌ" high-frequency drivers with: - natural silk domes - integrated waveguides - magnetic shielding Overall, the BX8a delivers what majority of producers and DJs look for in 8-inch studio monitors, for a reasonable price.
You will pay much more for slight increase in capabilities, if any.
If an 8" woofer is too much, you might want to consider something like the Alesis M1 Active 620.
