    Sock Puppet

    • Make a dragon puppet with a red or green sock, or the color of your choosing. Put the sock on your hand to mark where you want the inside of the mouth, the eyes and the wings. Cut flames and wings out of construction paper or craft foam and glue them onto the sock. The flames should face the top of the sock so that the heel of the sock goes over the back of your wrist. Glue on paper or wiggle eyes. Glue on a paper or foam tail if you'd like.

    Dancing Dragon

    • Cut out the shape of a dragon head from thick paper or craft foam and decorate it with paint, markers, glitter or feathers. Do the same for a tail. Then cut a piece of construction paper in half lengthwise. Glue the two pieces end to end to make one long strip and fold it up like an accordion. Glue the dragon head to one end of the accordion and glue the tail to the other to make the dragon. Glue a craft stick to the back of the head and another to the back side of the tail. Hold your dragon by the handles and wiggle them to make it dance.

    Egg Carton Dragon

    • Cut an egg carton in half and paint one half the color of your dragon for a head. Cut two compartments off of the other half-carton and paint them for eyes. Then cut off two more compartments and paint them as nostrils. Glue them in place on the head. Finish your dragon by adding frills and spikes to the head cut from construction paper, tissue paper or craft foam. You can also add a tongue or fire coming from the mouth.
