Styles of Anime Shirts
- Anime series licensed in the U.S. often release official T-shirts and baby tees with images from the series emblazoned across the front or the back of the shirt. Anime image shirts include scenes from series such as "Naruto," "Fullmetal Alchemist," "Black Butler," "Code Geass" and "Hetalia." Some of the shirts only include images on the front, but others include an image or a logo on the back as well
- If you're familiar with the "tuxedo T-shirt," you may have an idea of what the anime uniform shirt is. The anime uniform shirt is a basic T-shirt or baby tee, but the front and back of the shirt looks like a uniform from a particular anime series. For example, you can buy "Gundam" anime uniform shirts that make it seem like you're wearing the blue uniform shirt of the protagonist, Amuro Ray.
- Wear an anime shirt that features an anime slogan or an insider message written in Japanese and most people won't know the secret behind your shirt. For example, you can wear a shirt that says "Looking for a Japanese boyfriend" or "Looking for a certain Japanese girlfriend" -- the latter of which features a silhouette of a popular anime character. You can also wear shirts with anime lingo like "tsundere" and "moe" written in Japanese.
- Japanese middle and high schoolers usually don uniforms at school. Fans of anime may know this because many anime feature middle and high school characters. The sailor style of uniform is particularly iconic in anime; it even inspired the battle uniform look of the magical characters in the anime "Sailor Moon." Rather than purchasing a T-shirt with anime images, you may want to purchase a T-shirt that anime characters wear. The sailor suit top is one example.
