Attracting Your Target Audience - Being Aware of Your Mind-Set

103 67
If you've ever wondered where your ideal clients are.
If you've ever said to yourself 'If only I could get in front of the right people...
'.
If you've pondered 'where are the people who can afford my services.
' Or you've heard yourself saying 'the people I now don't want what I offer or aren't prepared to pay for it', then you have a problem...
But it's not what you think if you're thinking 'yes my problem is that I don't know how to attract my ideal audience.
I don't know where to go, what to say, and how to get them interested in what I have to offer'! No, we need to take a step back here, because whilst these may be true for you they're actually symptoms.
The problem goes much deeper than that.
You see, if you're like the majority of service-based business owners, you have a big heart...
you know you have so much to give...
you know you can really help people.
Yet something is missing because you see other people and businesses making this work - attracting the clients and business they want, serving people and doing good in the world.
So this is a mind-set issue first and foremost - your thinking is flawed.
What do I mean by that? I mean that there is no big secret supply that only the super-successful, or wildly popular business person knows about.
There is no secret supply of ideal clients hiding just out of view.
Otherwise there'd be a finite amount, when in fact they're all around you, around all of us, all of the time! So what can you do about it if you recognise your thinking is flawed? 1.
Heighten your Awareness - Notice what you say to yourself on a day-by-day, hour-by-hour, even minute-by-minute basis.
Keep a pad and pen with you and note down when you recognise this type of thinking.
Write down the exact words you were thinking or saying.
2.
Challenge your assumptions - Review the specific words and phrases you use.
Ask yourself 'what does this mean I believe or expect about myself or my business? Is this limiting me? If so, look for evidence that contradicts this.
Look for the exact opposite in your own business and life, and in others.
3.
Change your language - Set new more empowering intentions and rules for yourself.
Use the 'opposite evidence' you generated above and change your language e.
g.
from 'the people I know aren't prepared to pay for my services' to 'I'm already connected to people who value what I do and are willing to pay me to help them.
' These actions are an important first step, because until you tackle your flawed thinking and address whether your current mind-set is helping or hindering you, you can be a business providing the best service in the world, someone who is really clear about who you want to work with and the value you bring.
You can even be implementing the right strategies and actions to attract your ideal audience to you and you will still struggle.
It's that important!
