    • 1). Choose the design. Geometric shapes with straight edges are the easiest to make, but circles, ovals and freestyle shapes lend themselves to unique finished pieces.

    • 2). Cut a single shape to use as the pattern to ensure uniformity.

    • 3). Transfer the pattern shape to the cardboard. Repeat until there are sufficient pieces to complete the project.

    • 4). Cut out each cardboard piece with the craft knife.

    • 5). Apply glue to the top side of one piece. Stack the next piece carefully on top of it.

    • 6). Repeat Step 5 until the stool is the desired height.

    • 7). Spray paint the stool.

    • 8). Allow the paint and glue to dry at least 48 hours.
