How to Dual Boot in Fedora Core

    • 1). Download either the Fedora 13 LiveCD or install DVD and burn it to disk.

    • 2). Reboot the computer and let it boot from the disk (If using the install DVD, skip to Step 4.)

    • 3). Double-click "Install to Hard Drive" once Fedora is up and running.

    • 4). Select your language and location during the install process.

    • 5). Shrink the existing Microsoft Windows partition by selecting "Shrink current system" from the pull-down menu.

    • 6). Select the partition to shrink and the amount of space to free up.

    • 7). Install Fedora to the new free partition.

    • 8). Edit the "other" entry on the GRUB boot loader screen to say "Windows 7" (or your preference).

    • 9). Complete the install process, remove the disk and reboot the computer. A boot menu will be available when you press any key allowing you to boot into either operating system.
