The frame with the arms added.
Draw a guideline for the shoulders with two oval shapes. Add the upper arms with a line coming out of the shoulders. Attach a small circle for the elbow at the base of upper arms, and add the forearms with simple lines. Draw guidelines for the hands with oval shapes at the ends of the arms. - 3
The basic frame with legs.
Create the upper legs with simple lines coming out from the hips. Add the knee guideline with a small circle at the base of the upper leg. Attach the lower legs with lines coming from the knee. Create the feet with simple triangular shapes. - 4
A cross shape on the face will help you mark out the details.
Draw a cross shape over the face. Draw parallel lines around the arm, leg, chest, hip and neck. Add fingers to the hands with four cylinders. Create thumbs with thicker, shorter cylinders. - 5
Add facial details with simple shapes.
Draw eyes on the face with ovals on the horizontal line of the cross. Add pupils with circles inside the eyes. Create eyebrows with curved lines above each eye. Add a nose with an "L" shape beside the vertical line of the cross. Add the mouth with a curved line under the nose. - 6
The figure with clothes.
Draw the hair with curved line around the outside of the head. Add bangs with curved triangular tufts of hair across the forehead. Create the clothes of the character by drawing a "V" shape across the chest for the collar. Add a belt with a band across the waist. Add the bottom of the tunic with a rectangle shape across the hips and upper legs. Draw robes with lines coming down the left and right side of the body. Add a lightsaber-style sword to the character's hands with a cylinder. Create the beam for the sword with a long, thin cone. - 7
Coloring will bring your figure to life.
Ink all of the lines you wish to keep. Let the ink dry and carefully erase the pencil lines. Color the illustration using art markers. Use browns, grays and tans for the robes. Use beige for the flesh and any color you want for the hair. Use a very light color for the beam on the sword. Let the marker dry, then add highlights with a colored pencil. Use lighter versions of the same color to create highlights.
