White Wolf and Shining-Star Learn Lessons About Life, Love and Spirituality
One starry night, many moons ago, the Great Spirit aligned the spirits of Snuggle Ruggle Bear and Suki Rabbit.
Upon meeting, sparks of energy ignited.
As the moons passed, the sparks intensified to the point that Snuggle Ruggle Bear and Suki could not ignore them any longer.
Upon physical contact, their spirits became fused together, as one.
As the moon continued to wax and wane, Snuggle Ruggle Bear and Suki became consumed with one another, giving up their individual spirits and personal powers, losing their way on the Good Red Road.
as they lost their way, life became more and more difficult for them.
They tried to escape from the reality of their difficulties.
Their escape led to the transformation of Snuggle Ruggle Bear into a badger.
This transformation elicited more and more fear in Suki with each passing sunset.
As the badger became more aggressive, Suki hopped away trying to escape, but her fear of being alone was greater than her fear of the badger, so she returned home.
This pattern of hopping away and returning home transpired over many seasons, until Suki found the courage and support to go it alone.
While Suki lived on her own, she was forced to face her own demons and grow.
The badger, also alone now, was forced to look at his demons and grow too! Another season passed before the badger and Suki were able to re-connect with the Great Spirit and find their way back to the Good Red Road.
When they were both firmly re-established on their spiritual path, the Great Spirit transformed the badger into a wolf and Suki into a mink.
The wolf became known as "White Wolf" and Suki became known as "Shining-Star" (a name originally gifted to her, by her grandfather, when she was only 11 people years old.
).
As the moons passed, and the seasons changed, they each became able to honor their own, as well as each others' spiritual path and personal powers, so the Great Spirit thought it best to re-connect their spirits.
White Wolf and Shining-Star had each learned the valuable lesson of not giving up on themselves for someone else.
Maintaining their own spirit and personal powers enabled them to learn to honor themselves, to compromise, to love, and above all, to stay grounded on their own spiritual path.
Today, White Wolf and Shining-Star's spirits work together, as two parts of the whole.
Life is still difficult for them at times, but they know that they don't have to escape and they don't have to go it alone.
They now have each other and their own spiritual connection with the Great Spirit to rely on when things are tough.
The moral of this story is: Love and spirituality are gifts which must be cultivated and shared, if one hopes to achieve serenity in this lifetime.
May you allow the Great Spirit to guide you on your journey; may you cultivate and share your love with others, not just today, but with each passing moon cycle throughout your life.
