How to Configure Windows XP Startup Programs
- 1). Right-click "Start," click "Explore" and then click "Programs."
- 2). Browse your computer's program folders for the program you want to add to star-tup, right-click it and then choose "Copy."
- 3). Click "Programs," right-click "Startup" and then click "Paste." The program will be added to start-up. To delete startup objects, open "Startup," right-click on a program and click "Delete."
- 1). Click "Start," "Run," type "msconfig" into the text field and press "Enter."
- 2). Click the "Startup" tab.
- 3). Uncheck the boxes next to any programs you want to remove from start-up and click "Apply."
