    • 1). Take your Sea-Doo out of the water and move it to an area where you can work, such as a garage or in the driveway.

    • 2). Remove the gas cap and add one 8 oz. bottle of fuel stabilizer to the gas tank. Replace and tighten the cap securely.

    • 3). Start the engine and let it run for about 20 seconds to let the fuel stabilizer mix with the gas. This will allow the stabilizer to flow through the injectors and carburetor.

    • 4). Locate the water inlet hose that is connected to the cylinder head on the engine. This hose is attached to the left side of the cylinder head. Loosen the clamp on the hose with an adjustable wrench, and then disconnect the hose.

    • 5). Connect a small section of hose to the water inlet in step 4. Use a garden hose with the connector cut off of the end. Place the end of the hose over the inlet connector on the cylinder head.

    • 6). Place a bucket under the flushing connector on the transom. Insert a funnel into the end of the garden hose.

    • 7). Start the engine and let it run until you see water come out of the flushing connector. Begin pouring antifreeze into the funnel until you see it come out of the flushing connector. Continue pouring the antifreeze slowly into the funnel.

    • 8). Locate the air intake silencer cover that is on top of the engine. Pull the out the plug that is in the center of the cover. Refer to page 8 on the 1998 Sea-Doo GTX RFI Operator's Guide for a diagram of the cover.

    • 9). Spray the fogging oil into the intake silencer cover until the engine starts to sputter. Continue spraying until the engine stalls to ensure that the cylinder walls are coated with the fogging oil.

    • 10

Remove the garden hose from the cylinder head and reconnect the water supply hose.

    • 11

Repeat this process if there is a second engine on your Sea-Doo PWC GTX.
