How to Remove the Factory Radio From a 2000 Honda Accord
- 1). Place the blade of the flat-head screwdriver in the small slot at the base of the clock on the center of the dashboard. Pull out the clock and unplug the harness in the back of the clock using your hands. Unscrew the Phillips-head screw revealed behind the clock.
- 2). Unscrew the two Phillips-head screws at the base of the black stereo bezel, underneath the stereo. Then pull the bezel toward you to release the clips connecting it to the dashboard.
- 3). Unbolt the stereo from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, then pull the deck out of the dashboard. Use your hands to remove the antenna lead and the wiring harness. Place the deck in a safe place in case you want to use it again.
