Is XM Installed?

To listen to satellite radio through your receiver, purchase and install a Pioneer compatible XM tuner. Is XM Activated?

• Even if your Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD came with an XM tuner installed, you must activate your XM radio account before you can receive XM channels on it. In the satellite radio mode on your AVH-P7500DVD, press "Display ID Number" and your radio ID number is displayed. Note this down and then call XM Radio (xmradio.com) with your credit card to activate your account. You can also activate your account on the website.
  
  

Antenna Connection Problems

• If your XM tuner is both installed and activated, the problems with receiving XM radio might be mechanical. Look at the screen of the your Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD and see what message is displayed. If it reads "Antenna," then your Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD is detecting a connection problem between the rooftop antenna which receives the XM signal and the AVH-P7500DVD which plays it. Signal Reception Problems

• Look at the screen of the your Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD and see what message is displayed. If it reads "No Signal," then your XM tuner is functioning correctly but not receiving the XM signal. This may be because your XM antenna is installed incorrectly. To function properly, your XM antenna needs to have a clear, unobstructed view of the sky above. Locate your XM antenna on your vehicle and prevent it from being blocked by a roof rack or other obstruction.
