    • 1). Identify the Adorable Fuchsia by its single blossoms. The blossoms have an orange corolla with deep rose-red sepals. The foliage consists of small, deciduous leaves that are ovate and green. This plant can grow up to 6 feet high and 3 feet wide. It blooms in late summer to early fall. The showy blooms are shades of orange and red.

    • 2). Plant the Adorable Fuchsia in sandy loam to loam with a pH of 5 to 7. Keep the soil moist--it should be watered at least 1 inch every week. If you notice the soil starting to dry out before the next weekly watering time, water it deeply again. The soil should be moist to about 18 inches.

    • 3). Fertilize the Adorable Fuchsia with a water-soluble, quick-release fertilizer or an organic fertilizer such as fish emulsion, if this plant is being grown as an annual. If using a water-soluble fertilizer, fertilize every 2 weeks. If using an organic fertilizer, read the instructions on the package, as different brands may be different strengths. If growing this plant as a landscape shrub, fertilize once a year after doing a soil test to determine whether there are soil nutrients missing.

    • 4). Mulch the Adorable Fuchsia heavily in climates with cold winters. Prune dead, broken or decaying branches in the spring. Pinching the stem tips will make the plant branch out more.

    • 5). Protect the Adorable Fuchsia from Verticillium or Fusarium Wilt. Do not use nitrogen-heavy fertilizers, unless the soil is missing this nutrient. Do not over-water. Always remove infected plants.
