How to Trim Squash Leaves
- 1). Wear a pair of gardening gloves, as some varieties of squash contain sharp or prickly areas.
- 2). Only trim squash leaves once the fruit has begun to set. Grasp the base of the leaf that you want to trim.
- 3). Cut the leaf directly below your grip.
- 4). Place the leaf to the side, and repeat as necessary. Trim throughout the growing season until harvest.
