How to Save Output From Msconfig
- 1). Click the "Start" button. Click "Run" if using Windows XP. Type "msinfo32" in the "Run" box in XP and in the "Search" box in Windows 7 and Vista. Press "Enter" to open and view system information.
- 2). Double-click "Software Environment" to expand it. Click "Services" to view the same list contained in the "Services" tab in MSConfig.
- 3). Click "File" and then "Export." Type a name for the text file, such as "Services," and click "Save."
- 4). Click the "Startup Programs" section in the System Information window. Click "File" and then "Export." Type "Startup Programs" in the "File Name" section and click "Save." Close the System Information window.
