Windows Control Panel

• 1). Click the "Start" menu and choose the "Control Panel."
  
  
• 2). Select "Uninstall a Program" in Windows Vista or "Add or Remove Programs" in earlier Windows versions.
  
  
• 3). Locate the Norton program from the list of programs and highlight it. Click "Remove" or "Uninstall."
  
  
• 4). Select "Remove All."
  
  
• 5). Click "Restart Now" when prompted to reboot your computer.
  
  

Norton Removal Tool

• 1). Download the Norton Removal Tool (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Select "Save." Save the tool on your desktop.
  
  
• 3). Close any Norton programs that are open on your computer.
  
  
• 4). Double-click the removal tool on the desktop. For Vista users, right-click on the tool and choose "Run as Administrator." The removal tool will begin the removal process.
  
  
• 5). Click "Restart Now" when prompted to reboot your computer.
