How to Eat Tulip Bulbs
- 1). Boil the tulip bulbs until they are soft and use them in a soup recipe such as the one that dates to World War II. Soften the tulib bulbs by boiling them and use them as an additive, or stir fry them with vegetables.
- 2). Eat the bulbs from the tulip plant species "Tulipa Edulis" by boiling them and using the inner portions as an expectorant or laxative. They can be mixed into tea, eaten plain or cooked with other items as an onion substitute.
- 3). Serve tulip bulbs with other items rather than alone as their bitter taste should be masked with other strong-tasting vegetables and/or sauces.
