    • 2). Determine the time period that the work is being done and, if necessary, convert this time to seconds. There are 86,400 seconds in a day, 604,800 seconds in a week and 31,556,926 seconds in a year. Use these values to convert your time period to seconds.

    • 3). Divide the amount of joules by the time period in seconds. This is the amount of watts.
