How to Hang Colored Glass
- 1). Measure the ceiling or soffit just above your window (if that's where you desire to hang the glass), length-wise. Divide the entire length by two to determine the exact middle. Use a pencil to mark the center.
- 2). Place the screw hook right up to the pencil mark. Tap the hammer on the hook until the hook hangs independently.
- 3). Screw the hook clockwise to tighten it. Do this until the screw is completely screwed into the ceiling/soffit.
- 4). Measure the height of the area where the glass will be hung. You will want to hang the glass at about the middle of the window. Divide the height of the window by two to find the middle. Make a small pencil mark on the side of the window to indicate the middle mark.
- 5). Cut a piece of fishing line for the colored glass. Cut the fishing line at twice the height of the window because the fishing line will be folded in half.
- 6). String the fishing line through the hole provided at the top the glass. Pull the string through so that there is an equal amount of line on either side of the hole.
- 7). Tie the line around the hook. Tie the line several times to make a tight knot.
- 8). Allow the colored glass to hang.
