How to Remove Permanent Marker From a Vinyl Floor
- 1). Moisten a white rag with turpentine or mineral spirits. Rub the rag over the marker stain. Switch to clean portions of the rag as it becomes filled with marker and add more solvent as necessary.
- 2). Wipe over the area with a damp rag to remove any residue. Buff the floor with a dry white rag.
- 3). Moisten a white rag with a small amount acetone nail polish remover and scrub the floor if the stain persists. Go over the area with a damp rag, followed by a dry rag, to remove any residue.
- 4). Clean the floor with a vinyl floor cleaner once all of the permanent marker is gone. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for using the cleaner.
