Fold a paper towel in half, then in half again, to create four roughly even layers.

Moisten the paper towel with water from a spray bottle.

Place the folded paper towel inside a plastic bag. The paper towel should lay on the side of the bag and not the folded bottom.

Place the seeds on top of the paper towel. Use 10 seeds for easy percentage calculation if you are testing germination rates.

Seal the bag and wait for the seed to germinate (about one week). Check on the moisture level in the bag every other day. If it begins to dry out, spray the paper towel with more water from your spray bottle. Do not add so much water that puddles form in the bag. If they do, pour them off.
