How to Remove Silicone Personal Lubricant From Carpet
- 1). Dampen a cloth in warm water and use it to blot the fresh stain.
- 2). Squeeze a few drops of dish washing liquid onto the damp cloth and rub it gently but deeply into the fibers of the carpet.
- 3). Allow the detergent to sit on the carpet for about 10 minutes.
- 4). Blot the detergent up with a dampened cloth and allow it to dry. If evidence of the stain remains proceed to Step 5.
- 5). Create a paste by mixing powdered laundry detergent with water and spread it over the carpet stain.
- 6). Leave the paste on for about 10 minutes before rinsing with water.
- 7). Allow the stained area to dry. If the stain is still visible, proceed to Step 8.
- 8). Spray WD-40 or a similar product onto the stained area and allow it to sit for 30 minutes.
- 9). Repeat steps 1 through 4.
