• For mortar mixes of up to 290 pounds, an all-in-one solution such as the Portamix Hippo with twin paddles has the advantage of a balanced tilting cradle that aids the emptying process. The Portamix has a choice of electric or pneumatic power. Though it is a more expensive solution, a unit such as this one can increase productivity and lower labor costs.
  
  

Safety Considerations

• Prolonged contact between cement or powdered lime and your skin can cause burning, so wear protective gloves when handling those items. Wear safety glasses when mixing powders with water to avoid damage to your eyes.
