    • 1). Load 20 quarts of Mopar automatic transmission fluid (ATF) into a transmission flush machine per the machine's specific operator's manual.

    • 2). Place a drain pan under the transmission cooler lines where they join the transmission cooler. Remove one cooler line from the transmission cooler using a socket wrench. Place the end of the line in the drain pan to avoid spilling fluid.

    • 3). Connect the transmission cooler line to the inlet hose on the transmission flush machine. Connect the outlet hose to the transmission cooler.

    • 4). Start the Ram. Perform a transmission flush using the transmission flush machine by following your machine's specific operating procedures, which vary from machine to machine. Turn off the machine and your Ram once you have completed the flush.

    • 5). Disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses from the transmission cooler and cooler line. Connect the transmission line to the cooler. Clean up any spilled transmission fluid with rags.

    • 6). Start the Ram. Step on the brake pedal firmly, and shift the transmission through each gear and then back to park.

    • 7). Remove the transmission dipstick, and check the level of transmission fluid. If the fluid level is not near the top of the crosshatched segment, top the fluid off as needed until the level reaches the crosshatched segment.
