    • 1). Turn the front wheels of your Sebring all the way to the right, and lock the steering column. The battery is inside the fender well in front of the driver's-side tire.

    • 2). Locate the battery splash shield under the front of the wheel well. Remove the three push pin connectors from the plastic splash shield, and remove the shield from the car, exposing the battery.

    • 3). Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts that secure the negative and positive battery cables to the battery. Remove the negative cable first, then the positive cable. Remove the retaining bolt in the base of the battery hold-down, using a wrench, and pull the old battery out of the car.

    • 4). Position a new battery in the battery tray with the battery terminals facing out. Install the battery hold-down over the front of the battery, then install the retaining bolt at the base of the hold-down. Tighten the bolt with a wrench.

    • 5). Install the positive battery cable (red) on the positive battery terminal, using the original mounting hardware to secure it. The positive terminal can be identified by the large "+" embossed into the plastic case of the battery next to the terminal. Tighten the retaining bolt with a wrench.

    • 6). Install the negative cable (black) on the negative battery terminal, using the original mounting bolt. Tighten the bolt with a wrench. Install the battery splash shield, securing it with the three push pin connectors that you removed earlier.
