How to Install an Alvarion Antenna
- 1). Screw the mounting hole at the bottom of the Alvarion antenna into the screw at the top of the tripod's platform. Place the tripod outside in the backyard. Loosen the side tab on the tripod so the platform can be angled. Angle the platform so the antenna rods on the Alvarion are facing in the direction of the transmitter tower. Tighten the side tab.
- 2). Loosen the tab on the tripod's vertical pole. Raise the pole so the antenna clears any obstructions in the line of sight between it and the towers. Tighten the tab. Place the side of a brick against each leg of the tripod.
- 3). Screw an end of a coaxial cable into the coaxial socket on the Alvarion. Run the coaxial cable into the house. Screw the end of the coaxial cable into the a cellular broadcast repeater.
- 4). Place the repeater on a bookshelf or other object where it can be higher than 6 feet off the ground. Plug the repeater's power cord into a wall outlet. If the power cord is too short, add an electrical extension cord.
