Save My Marriage

Your quest to save my marriage can be for many reasons. Some marriages shouldn't be saved, while others must be saved. With all the stress that a marriage deals with in the bad economy we're in, many times its just lots of little things that seem to grow into one giant problem. This is the sixth in a series of articles that deal with relationship problems.

As I always say, most relationships can be saved with work from both partners. First you need to find out why the marriage has gone bad, because it wasn't always that way. Has one had an affair that cannot be forgiven? Are there children involved, that may be taking intimate time from the relationship. Two very different problems, one that can be difficult to fix, the other more common and much easier to control.

If an affair is the problem, both need to be willing to come to a respectful agreement. Obviously, trust and respect will have to be gained to ever have a chance to save my marriage. This can be difficult, but not impossible. If having children around takes some of your time together causes some problems, remember its not the kids to blame. Your life just needs to include them with both of you, and not looked at it as if they are in the way. They are part of your life, and your limited, intimate time together will be more enjoyable and appreciated.

Conversation is a very powerful tool that should be open and initiated by both partners. Both need to be open to listen to the other and share whatever concerns there might be. Never overpower a conversation, that will not go far to save my marriage. Be ready to hear some of your bad traits, because we all have them. There's always 2 sides to every story, although we don't always see it. Be open, honest, and respectful, and listen, and you will save my marriage. Talking things out saves many relationships.
