How to Fix a Pioneer Receiver SX With Excess Noise on the Right Channel
- 1). Press the "Menu" option on the Pioneer SX receiver. Choose the "Pan" option and make sure it is directly in the middle. If it is pointed to the right, excessive audio plays out of the right channel.
- 2). Remove the door paneling around the right channel speaker. Check the wiring running from the receiver to the speaker. If the wiring is not completely touching the rear metal of the speaker, the speaker is not going to receive all the audio produced by the receiver.
- 3). Access the fuse box of your Pioneer SX receiver. Depending on the vehicle you are driving, the fuse box is typically located under the steering wheel. If the fuse for the stereo receiver is damaged, the right channel may not receive all the audio produced by the stereo system or it may begin producing hissing noises. Replace the damaged fuse with a new fuse to regain full audio playback. To remove the fuse, gently pull it out of the fuse box (it is roughly half an inch long, so you can grab and pull with your fingers or a pair of pliers). Slide in the replacement fuse into place.
